Hanoi Dragons

The Hanoi Dragons Rugby Football Club is a social rugby club that was formed in Hanoi back in 1994. We tour throughout South East Asia and often host games in Hanoi. The team consists of both expat and local players of various ages and playing levels.

While we do pride ourselves on putting out competitive teams, our main concern is the social side of the things. We generally meet for a few drinks following Saturday training sessions and also organize social events such as pub quizzes and charity fundraisers.

The development of rugby is close to the club’s heart and we are the brother and sister club to the first all Vietnamese rugby team, the Kim Boi Wild Cats, who we often fundraise for.

Our Training Times
Contact training for both men and women takes place on Saturdays at UNIS school, with practice kicking off at 11 AM. Touch rugby is one Wednesday evenings and starts at 8 PM. Players of all skill levels are welcome at all our training sessions. Our coaches have all played high-level rugby back home and love nothing more than helping a rookie player find their feet.

At present, we have a squad of 27 male players and six female players. We are looking for new players and are about to launch a drive to get our women’s team up and going again. We will also be introducing a junior side early next year.
